A catch-all e-mailbox is one that captures all the messages sent to non-existent email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you will never miss messages because the other party has an out-of-date email address or has made a typo. The negative aspect of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of junk emails, but this problem can be fixed using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also crucial to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot forward inbound messages to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort if you’ve got a shared website hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-created Hepsia Control Panel is fully featured, yet incredibly intuitive, and it will allow you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks. All the mailboxes that you have set up will be listed alphabetically in this section and to the right of each one of them you’ll notice a tiny "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will activate the feature, clicking it again will disable it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you’ve already got another one with this option enabled or if you’ve got active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house created Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will allow you to set up a catch-all email mailbox easily even in case you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you’ve created with your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already configured a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you decide that you don’t need the feature anymore, you can remove it by clicking again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
